For BlackBerry Users:
Adding the Congress Voices blog to your phone:
- Download the free WordPress application from your chosen application store (eg, Appworld)
- Open the application which may be located in your “Downloads” folder
- Press the center track ball or button to display a list of options (eg, Add Blog, Setup, Check update, About)
- Select “Add Blog”
- Type in the Congress Voices blog URL (https://congressvoices.wordpress.com) in the first field
- Next, enter your username and password
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “OK.”
- The blog will now be added to this application. You will not need to re-enter your username and password. Simply open the application and begin.
Posting:
- Open the WordPress application
- Press the center track ball/button to reveal the list of options
- Select “Show Blog”
- Select “Posts” (Note: you will only be able to view, edit and publish your own posts, so these will be the only ones you see in this section)
- To write a new post, highlight and then select the pencil icon on the top left-hand side of the page.
- Enter a title for your post
- Optional: enter tags (ie, keywords) for your post
- Next to “Status,” you will notice a box that says “Local Draft.” You will want to select this and change the status from local draft (ie, stays only on your phone until you’re ready to publish) to “Published” (ie, viewable to the public on the blog.
- Enter your post in the field marked “Post Content”
- If you select the center track ball/button in the Post Content section, you will be able to save your post as a draft, preview your post, and submit. Select “Submit” to finalize and send your post to the blog.
- If you decide to save your post as a draft, you will be able to find it by selecting the blue file folder icon at the top of the screen (next to the pencil icon).
